Another Sketchbook Dump!

These are a pair of drawings that I did at The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair. It is an annual even that is held here in Toronto. I remember going to it when I was a kid, I have taken my own kids. I went there several times when I was in art college to complete drawing assignments. I think that it is a wonderful place to go and draw. In the last couple of years I have taken my own students there for a drawing assignment.

This is a pencil drawing of a one time favourite model of mine. I have posted other pieces that I did of her. I found this one, which I had forgotten about, and thought that I would post it here.

This is a drawing based on a Haddon Sundblom painting. It is taken from the "Beer Belongs" campaign and shows a pair of newlyweds discussing their "dream house" with on of the sets of parents. And this is Dad, looking wise, taking off and cleaning his glasses so he can get a better look at the blueprints that the young man is showing him.

This is done is conte on manilla paper.

Here is the 'old guy from the original version.

This is a drawing based on a photograph that I had found on the back of another picture that I was using as reference for a job. I have no idea what the shot was used for but I thought that it was really cool. I imagined it as a sort of Christ like figure...but maybe that is going a little far.
